For town planning practices

The engine behind these reports
runs entire planning practices.

Every $49 Landbrief report is generated by Northing — zone, precinct and 30+ overlay layers resolved deterministically from council and state mapping, across all 77 Queensland local government areas. No manual GIS clicking, no screenshots, no transcription.

What you just watched happen in about a minute is your site-investigation step, done. Practices run the same engine with the workflow around it:

Landbrief leads, for Northing practices

Get introduced to buyers checking properties in your area

People buying, building or subdividing in Queensland run Landbrief reports on the addresses they're weighing up. When the property is in an area you cover, your practice is the local town planner on that report.

  1. 1Choose your areas in Northing. Pick the suburbs you cover, or a whole council area outside South East Queensland (at least three suburbs or one council). Each suburb is listed for one practice only, so the introduction is yours alone.
  2. 2Your practice appears on every report there. A "local town planner" panel on the report, with your logo, a short description, your phone and email, and a button to ask you about that exact site.
  3. 3The enquiry lands in Northing, ready to work. It arrives as a new enquiry tagged "From Landbrief", with the address, the lot and plan, and a copy of the buyer's report, so nobody explains the site from scratch.

Buyers never pay for the introduction. Landbrief leads are available only to practices that subscribe to Northing; area pricing is shown inside Northing once you subscribe.

And the practice platform behind it

Site investigation, automated

One address in — zone, precinct, priority infrastructure area, every overlay, easements on and adjoining the lot, with council-legend maps for each layer that applies.

DA tracking with statutory clocks

Enquiry-to-decision pipelines, information-request clock stops, and the whole practice's active applications on one board.

Documents from the same data

Planning profiles, scope-of-work letters and fee schedules generated straight from the assessment — not re-typed into Word.

Council registers, watched

Development applications across Queensland registers, monitored daily — with zone context on every lodgement.

See it as a practice tool

Northing is the planning-practice platform Landbrief is built on. If your firm spends hours on site investigation and DA admin, it's worth twenty minutes.

Planner-reviewed reports — register interest

We're partnering with Queensland planners to offer a reviewed tier of these reports — your professional judgement over our engine's output, your name on the document, paid per review. If that sounds like your practice, email hello@landbrief.com.au with your firm and the council areas you know best.
